What TINIS PBX is

TINIS PBX is the company's own telephone system and its app. The app makes and receives calls on the member of staff's extension, shows colleagues and their availability, and offers chat, voicemail and call history. It works only with the company's own phone system (PBX), which the company operates itself.

Who is responsible for your data

S. TINIS CY DIGITAL NET ADVERTISING LTD operates the phone system and is the controller of the data in it. We process it to run our telephone service (calls, voicemail, chat, directory, call records, security and fault finding), on the basis of our legitimate interest in an efficient and secure phone service and, for staff, the employment relationship.

What the app uses

• Account: the server address, your extension and the sign-in token. They are kept on your device in secure storage (the Keychain on iPhone).
• Microphone: for calls. Camera: for video calls and for scanning the sign-in QR code.
• Local network: to reach the phone system when it is on the same network.
• Notifications: incoming calls, chat and voicemail alerts, through Apple's push notification service. The phone system sends them; they contain the alert text only.
• Siri, CarPlay, Apple Watch and widgets: your favourites, recent calls, voicemail list and the sign-in are shared with these parts of the app on your own devices, so that they can show lists and place calls.
• On the device: favourites, settings and the chosen ringtone.

What we keep

Extension and name, phone numbers dialled and received, call records, voicemail, chat messages and the push tokens of your devices. Call recordings are made only where the company has set them up. Data is kept as long as needed for the telephone service and the company's legal and security duties, then deleted.

Who receives data

Only what the service needs: the telephone carrier that connects our calls to the public network, and Apple's push notification service (alert text and device token). We do not sell data and do not share it with advertisers.

What we do not do

• No advertising and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites.
• No third-party analytics.

Emergency calls

TINIS PBX is not a replacement for your mobile phone and cannot place emergency calls (112 / 999). Use the phone's own dialler for emergencies.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of its use, and object to it, as the applicable law (including the GDPR) allows: write to info@cydigitalnet.com. You can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus. Signing out of the app removes the sign-in from the device.

Children

The app is for the company's staff and is not directed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new text is published at this address with a new date.
